After the wintery weather saw the Premier Cup semi-final between Flint Mountain and Caerwys postponed last weekend, the rescheduled game was due to be played the following week. As the club prepared for their first semi-final of the season, they were given the news that our opponents were unable to raise a team to play in the game, and they would be forfeiting the match.
That forfeit will see Flint Mountain into a final for the first time since 2015 and the first time in the Premier Cup, where we await the result of the other semi-final between Penyffordd Lions and Acton.
Next up for the Mountain, we travel to Penyffordd to take on the Lions in the Horace Wynne Cup quarter final. The Lions are the holders of the Horace Wynne Cup and will be looking to defend their trophy.
