With a poor performance and last minute goal in midweek to save a point for Flint Mountain, we looked to get back on track with our first away trip of the season to take on Bellevue in Wrexham. With Bellevue buoyed after collecting their first ever win in midweek, we were certainly not wanting to be complacent. Dylan Roberts, Dylan Evans, Joey Davies all returned to the starting line up for this clash.

The Mountain were on top from the first whistle and it didn't take long for the opening goal to arrive. In the sixth minute, a corner swung in by Sean Williams was clumsily handled by the Bellevue defender and referee pointed to the spot. Williams stepped up himself and found the net to get the scoring underway. In the fourteenth minute, Sean Williams was again provider as his corner into the area was met by an unmarked Joey Davies, who had the easy task of tapping into the net from just a couple of yards.

There was no let up in the Mountain's attacks, and they picked up a third goal just a couple of minutes later. Again, Sean Williams was instrumental as he lofted a free kick towards goal. Two Bellevue defenders got mixed up and the result was a wayward header which found the bottom corner for an own goal. A minute later, Mountain had their fourth. Winning the ball back straight from the kick off, the ball was fed through to Jon Edmonds who fired a low shot towards goal. Despite the goalkeeper's best efforts, he could not keep the ball out.

As the half progressed, Jimmy McGlone thought he had found the net from a free kick, curled low into the bottom corner, only for the referee to ask for it to be retaken. McGlone was not to be denied his first goal of the season, however, as he ended the first half with Mountain's fifth goal. Jack Aitken won back the ball in his own half, raced forward and chipped towards Sean Williams. Williams headed on to McGlone who fired low in to the bottom corner. At half time, Leon Pickford was withdrawn as a precaution, with Liam Mortimer taking up his place in central midfield.

The second half started in much the same as the first, with Mountain continuing their assault on the Bellevue goal. Five minutes into the second half, Jimmy McGlone was brought down in the penalty area and Sean Williams added his second goal of the game from the spot. At this point, the game sadly descended into a farce. Jack Aitken, attempting to get through on goal, slipped and in doing so, the referee pointed to the spot for a third time. Both teams protested the call and in the ensuing madness, the referee issued a red card to the Bellevue captain and called for the game to be abandoned!

After gaining approval from the league and local FA to continue with another referee instead, Sean Williams missed the penalty by sportingly returning the ball to Bellevue. Williams was not to be denied his hat trick, though, as soon afterwards he lofted a ball high towards the back post, which flew straight into the net. It was then the turn of Jake Williams to get into the act, as he fired a shot across goal which found the bottom corner. The floodgates seemed to open at this point, with Mountain getting a third goal in four minutes, and their ninth overall. Picking up the ball just inside the penalty area and in space, Jack Aitken rifled a low shot past goalkeeper, leaving him no chance.

With twenty minutes remaining, Mountain entered double figures. Liam Mortimer weaved past two Bellevue defenders, before his shot was pushed onto the crossbar. However, Jack Aitken was unmarked in front of goal and simply headed the rebound into the net. The Mountain players pressed forward again, this time Jon Edmonds played a ball through to Jimmy McGlone, who beat his marker and fired past the goalkeeper from a narrow angle. Jack Aitken was then able to complete his hat trick with an effort from close range.

Jack Aitken was not done and grabbed his fourth goal of the game with a thunderous strike into the top corner. With four minutes left, there was still time for a FOURTH penalty to be awarded to Flint Mountain, following another clumsy handball. With Sean Williams being withdrawn earlier, Jimmy McGlone stepped up and fired into the bottom corner, to complete his hat trick and Flint Mountain's third.

With minutes remaining, there was still time for Bellevue to make a rare foray forward. The striker did well to get past three Mountain players before a well hit shot towards the top corner was well saved by Kirk Russell to maintain his clean sheet. The game then ended with Mountain equalling their scoring record in a game.

There is no game midweek, due to having a free game, so next up for Flint Mountain is the visit of Bradley Park to the Pavilion on Saturday, as we look to build upon this result with another three points.
