After recovering last week against Bradley Park, Flint Mountain looked ahead to welcoming the second of seven new sides in the league to the Northop Hall Pavilion, Bellevue. With kick off fast approaching, Flint Mountain were forced to reverse the fixture, due to transport issues for Bellevue meaning that they could not travel to Northop Hall. Now in Wrexham, manager Rob Marshall made a couple of changes from the Bradley Park victory last week, as Karl Griffiths replaced Marshall himself in the centre of defence, whilst Marc Gunther returned from injury to lead the line alongside Sean Wilkes, and Jack Aitken was pushed back to his more familiar central midfield role.

As the game kicked off, Bellevue could not field a full compliment of players, due to them still getting ready to play. It took just over a minute for Flint Mountain to get started, as Marc Gunther opened the scoring. Mark Hughes picked up the ball on the left, before sliding the ball through to Gunther, who easily stabbed the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net. The Mountain could have easily been six goals up by the time Jake Williams got the second goal on the ten minute mark. Bursting from midfield, Williams ran onto a pass from Marc Gunther, where his shot found the bottom corner.

The chances kept flowing and only three minutes later, Mark Hughes added the third Mountain goal. With a chance to cross, Hughes the the chance on himself, beating the defender before scoring through the goalkeeper's legs. It was then the turn of Sean Wilkes to get in on the act. Once again, Wilkes was easily able to shrug off the defence, as Gunther again supplied the ball for Wilkes to score. Just a minute later, Marc Gunther picked up his second of the game, giving Flint Mountain a commanding lead.

Bellevue could not be accused of a lack of effort themselves, and there perseverance did pay off, as they grabbed a goal back. Picking up the ball, the Bellevue midfielder lifted the ball over the Mountain defence, where the striker run on, and lifted the ball over Ryan Roberts in the Mountain goal. Flint Mountain continued to control the game, despite this goal, as Sean Wilkes then grabbed his second of the game, with Marc Gunther again the provider.

There seemed to be a bit of a lull in the half after the goal, as further chances went begging, before Jake Williams picked up Mountain's sixth goal. As it looked like Bellevue were able to stop a Mountain attack, Williams' slide tackle won the ball and directed it past the goalkeeper. With Mountain cruising, Mark Hughes was replaced at half time by Dylan Roberts, who immediately looked to get in the action. The second half started much like the first half, as Mountain pressed for further goals. The eighth goal come courtesy of David James Jones who, after finding himself in the penalty area, fired a straight shot which Bellevue could not keep out.

The goal seemed the open the floodgates, as Flint Mountain scored another two goals in two minutes to hit double figures. Firstly, Jake Williams scored his first hat-trick of the season, winning the ball outside the penalty area, before firing past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner. The tenth goal proved to be the best of the bunch. Liam Mortimer exchanged passes with David James Jones, before skilfully beating three Bellevue players, before his outside of the boot effort from outside the area found the bottom corner. It was Mortimer's first goal for Flint Mountain after signing from Trearddur Bay United in the Summer.

Flint Mountain then added some fresh legs, with David James Jones and Sean Wilkes making way for Sam Scott and Phil Marshall, making his return after a long injury lay off. Marshall was quickly into the action on the wing, as he supplied for cross for Jack Aitken to get into the scoring, having been pushed up top. Aitken didn't take long to add his second, as he capitalised on a defensive mix up to loft the ball over the goalkeeper.

With time running out, both strikers picked up their hat-tricks. Marc Gunther was first, as he picked up a pass from Phil Marshall and fired low into the net, before Jack Aitken scored from close range with just a couple of time remaining. Despite the commanding win, Flint Mountain will feel like there could have been much more, had they taken more of their chances.

This win keeps Flint Mountain in third place, three points behind leaders Connah's Quay Nomads U18s and Caerwys. Next up for Flint Mountain is an away trip to face another new league side, Rhosllanerchrugog. Rhos have only played four league games so far, with their involvment in cup competitions, but have so far picked up three wins from four matches.
