Football is back! Flint Mountain kicked off their pre season campaign with a trip to face Welsh National League side, Brymbo.
It took only two minutes for Flint Mountain to take the lead. From a free kick, Dean Hughes headed the ball back into the danger area from the back post, where Jack Aitken was able to stab the ball under the goalkeeper and into the net. With eighteen minutes gone, Brymbo then equalised after a defensive mix up.
Flint Mountain then retook the lead as Karl Griffiths played a perfectly weighted ball into the path of Marc Gunther, whose clever strike beat the goalkeeper and found the bottom corner. In the second half, the lead grew quickly as a long ball forward found Gunther, who then found Aitken who made no mistake as he beat the goalkeeper.
