The cogs seem certainly to be falling into place for Flint Mountain this pre season with another assured and confident performance. Llannefydd, who last season claimed the Auxiliary Cup from the hands of Mountain were today's opponents.
Mountain eventually ran out 4-1 winners with an impressive hat trick from new signing Chris Layne. Layne, signed from Aston Park Rangers, has continually put in some great appearances and looks to be hitting the ground running leading into the season. The fourth of Mountain's goals came courtesy of Aaron Austin.
Unless further friendlies are arranged in due course, the next game up for Mountain will be our opening game of the new league season, where we face newly formed rivals, Cornist Park FC. Park are also based in Flint and the game is to be played on the evening of Tuesday 13th August.
