After the obvious disappointment of defeat in our last game, as well as the manner of it, Mountain looked to respond against Saltney Town Colts. The Colts were fielding a couple of their first team this evening which added to the result.
The first half was an even affair with chances from both sides but Saltney took the lead just before half time when a long ball saw the winger beat Full back Jamie Foulkes to the ball and slotted home past stand in goalkeeper Dan Roberts.
The second half saw Mountain come into the game more and deservedly equalised when good inter play led to Keiron Moore scored low into the corner, his second in as many games. Mountain then took the lead when winger Phil Marshall lobbed the goalkeeper.
Saltney were able to bag an equaliser late on, however, with the score remaining even at the final whistle.
Next up is Llannefydd away from home on Saturday in what will possibly be our final pre season game before the new season starts on the 13th August.
