Mountain anager departs after five years in charge

With the season now over, Halkyn & Flint Mountain can today confirm that manager Rob Marshall has stepped down as manager of the club due to family commitments, after five years in charge.

Originally joining in 2016 as assistant manager, Marshall took over the reins as manager a year later, leading the club to a first ever league title in a quadruple winning season in 2019 and promotion to the then Welsh National League Division One. With two COVID affected seasons behind us, Marshall led the club to a runner-up spot in the newly-formed North East Wales Premier Division this season, where the club now awaits official confirmation of it's promotion to the Ardal Leagues. We thank Rob for his service to the club during this time.

Although Marshall is stepping down as manager, he will continue to be involved at the club and will now take up a place on the club's committee. Also stepping down from their roles as coach and secretary respectively, Paul Chitty and Robert Moore will also remain on the club's committee.

An announcement on the club's new manager and staff will be made soon.
