Flint Mountain Football Club are delighted to announce that Ste Connor will join the club as a first team coach. Ste is a former professional and semi-professional player who come through the youth ranks at Everton, Ste moved into the Welsh leagues, featuring for TNS, Bangor City and Airbus.

As a coach, Ste recently left his role at Oldham Athletic Academy and also has experience of the Cymru North after a spell at Ruthin Town.

Manager Aden Shannon had this to say on his new staff addition:

"Absolutely made up to get Ste over the line. I know a few clubs were after him as he is one of the best coaches around. It was important that we strengthened off the pitch ourselves and Ste was the perfect fit.

He's a great character and will be great to have around the place. I've known Ste for a long time and in football, that's crucial. I know he will add value to the group which is also important. He's a class act!"

Ste had this to say on joining the Mountain:

"Absolutely delighted to be joining the club. When Aden reached out and asked if I would be interested in coming in, it didn't take much hesitation! It's a club going places and with an ambition that matches my own, so I'm really looking forward to the challenge.

On a personal level, I feel it's the right move for me in terms of my coaching journey. After a season of academy football which helped my development, this is the perfect time to come back into the men's game.

I'm confident I can add fresh ideas to the the coaching staff and help push the team on in what will be a very competitive league."
